New York Fashion Week: Day #6
Sixth day of NYFW all feathers and stars this time. In the morning I went to the Diesel Black & Gold fashion show. A few skaters opened up the catwalk of a collection based on Rock and Glam clothes. In the afternoon I went to the Falguni & Shane Peacock fashion show. I was really impressed by this brand during the past fashion weeks and this time they totally lived up to my expectations. Futuristic dresses and accessories perfect for a red carpet premiere or a Lady Gaga video clip. Maybe a little less perfect for a casual look but still amazing!
Later on, I also got the chance to visit the Milly by Michelle Smith showroom where I had the pleasure of meeting the designer and chat with lovely girls from the PR office. They kinda reminded me of the times when I was working as a booker in Rome during the Rome fashion week. Fashion weeks are definitely fun and magical but somehow you can’t help but be overwhelmed by the frenzy and craziness that come along with them.
Fluo colors for the new Milly collection and super extravagant accessories. My favorite piece was definitely the silver skirt with the Croco print…I have got to get myself one!
Sesto giorno di fashion week tutta piume e stelle questa volta.
In mattinata sono andata da Diesel Black&Gold. Qualche skaters ad aprire la passerrela e via con abiti dai toni rock e glam. Nel pomeriggio invece mi sono diretta alla sfilata di Falguni & Shane Peacock. Questo brand mi aveva colpito in modo particolare durante le fashion week passate e quest’anno non e’ stato da meno.
Abiti assolutamente non da tutti i giorni, ma perfetti per premiere da Red Carpet o per video musicali dall’atmosfera futuristica alla Lady Gaga.
Il pomeriggio invece, sono stata ospite nello showroom di Milly by Michelle Smith e tra bollicine e dolcetti ho assistito in anteprima alla preparazione per la sfilata del giorno successivo. Ho anche avuto il piacere di conoscere la dolcissima Milly e scambiare quattro chiacchiere con le ragazze del press office gentili e disponibili. Guardandole rivedevo me ai tempi di quando lavoravo come booker a Roma durante la settimana di AltaRoma…la fashion week di New York per quanto magica porta con se una frenesia e un trambusto al quale, purtroppo, non c’e’ scampo.
Colori fluo, gonne aderenti e accessori davvero eccentrici per Milly. Il mio pezzo preferito e’ sicuramente la gonna argento dalla fantasia coccodrillata, devo averne una!
