Look Of The Week: Casual Jeans
I rarely showcase outfits with jeans on my blog, although I practically wear them all time. They are comfy, versatile, and easy to pair with other pieces of clothing. How many times have you heard people say ‘a pair of casual jeans, heels at my feet, and here is a chic and simple outfit? As far as I am concerned, putting together a look with a pair of denim is no walking the park, that’s why I always try to follow the following simple yet effective guidelines below:
The shape: boyfriend, skinny, bell-bottoms, and so on and so forth. Finding the perfect shape that best suits you and your body is quite a challenge and sometimes, as much as we may like a specific model it does not necessarily mean it is the one that’s right for us.
Shoes: pointy high heels are the perfect shoes to wear along with a pair of jeans. Our feet will probably not agree with us but who cares. Some possible alternatives to very high heels could be flats, over-the-knee boots, and ankle boots, although if one does not have never-ending legs like Giselle Bundchen and Co. it would be really risky to go for these options.
Tops: these are probably the easiest ones to pair with a pair of jeans as pretty much everything you’ll want to go for will turn out to be a great choice. Sweaters, sweatshirts, shirts, coats, every top will look good with a pair of denim, except for another denim top…in that case things may get complicated. I am not a fan of the “denim on denim” look, so I try to avoid wearing those very carefully.
Accessories: since jeans are a pretty simple piece of clothing, it’s always best to enrich the look with extravagant accessories. In my case, I always go for one of my statement necklaces, or alternatively, bracelets, headband, earrings, and whatever else I might feel could be in line with the other items of my outfit.

Capita raramente di proporre sul blog look con i jeans anche se poi li indosso praticamente tutti i giorni. Pratici, comodi e versatili i jeans sono la chiave di tutto, quante volte vi sarete sentite dire: un paio di jeans, tacchi ed ecco qui un look chic e semplice. Per quanto mi riguarda, invece, trovo che creare un outfit con i jeans sia una delle cose piu’ difficili ecco perche’ cerco sempre di seguire alcune piccole linee guida:
La forma: boyfriend, skinny, a palazzo e potrei continuare per ore… bisogna trovare la misura che piu’ ci valorizzi e anche questa e’ un impresa non da poco.
Scarpe: le decolte’ sono il perfetto partner del jeans. Un po’ meno perfetto dei nostri piedi. Potremo anche indossare ballerine, tronchetti e stivali alti sopra il ginocchio ovviamente, ma bisogna stare molto attente, specie se non si possiedono le gambe chilometriche di quella gnocca di Gisele Bundchen e compagne varie.
Il sopra: la parte piu’ semplice. Possiamo spaziare dal maglione oversize al cropped top. Dal blazer al cappotto oversize. O per look piu’ estivi camice e maglie dalle stampe particolari. Non sono una fan del total denim che cerco attentamente di evitare!
Accessori: essendo il jeans un capo semplice di suo e’ NOSTRO dovere arrichirlo come piu’ ci piace. Nel mio caso specifico con le mie amate collane (che non passano proprio inosservate), orecchini, cappelli, cerchietti e tutti gli altri gingilli di cui il mio armadio pullula sono piu’ che benvenuti!
Per rimanere in tema, nel look di oggi ho indossato proprio un paio di jeans. Conoscendomi ormai da diverso tempo, potevo forse optare per un modello “semplice”? Ovvio che no! Quindi ho scelto questo paio con applicazioni di Abercrombie & Fitch, che ho abbinato ad un maglione simpatico – sempre di Abercrombie – il mio nuovo orologio in acciaio e swarovski di Folli Follie ( Che potete vincere anche voi partecipando al Giveaway su Fashiolista cliccando QUI) ed un paio di tacchi rossi.
