Glamgerous For Wet Seal and Justin Bieber Concert

A concert I would have never thought I would go to – and when I say never I do mean it. If someone told me I would have thought I’d be affected by multiple personality disorders without even knowing it. The occasion presented itself when I was asked to attend this event as a Wet Seal blogger/reporter. What event? You are going to find out just a few more lines below. Before I unveil the unavailable I need to make a little introduction. One thing that not everybody knows is that up until yesterday I had never been to a single concert in my life. Absurd, I know. But as I used to live in Rome (where basically important artists hardly never come) and since I have never been into Italian music, I never really had a chance to experience the thrill of seeing one of my favorite artists live.

Yesterday though, I was there. Among screaming teenage girls and moms dressed up like their daughters cheering and supporting their kids’ idol. I was there, but I didn’t even know ONE of his songs. I had never been to a concert before and somehow I thought my first time would be with Beyonce’ or maybe Eminem. Instead, I ended up at Justin Bieber’s. I am still trying to fully process what I just wrote down. Although I am totally immune to the so-called Bieber Fever I still manage to enjoy the show. The Madison Square Garden is in fact a hell of a place for artists to perform. Crazy lights and special effects kept me mesmerized the whole time and in the end I really had a great time. Un concerto a cui non avrei mai e poi mai ( e quando dico Mai intendo davvero) pensato di andare. Se me lo avessero detto avrei probabilmente pensato di essere affetta da disturbi da personalita’ multipla che si manifestano senza che io ne abbia alcuna consapevolezza. L’occasione si e’ presentata quando lo Staff di Wet Seal mi ha contatta per essere una blogger reporter per l’occasione. Ma prima che sveli i dettagli occore una piccola introduzione. Una cosa che in pochi sanno infatti e’ che fino a ieri non ero ancora mai stata a nessun concerto in tutta la mia vita. Assurdo lo so, ma non ascoltando musica Italiana ed abitando a Roma, non ho mai avuto modo di poter andare a vedere qualcuno dei miei cantanti preferiti… Eppure ieri ero li, tra 13enni in delirio per vedere il loro idolo e mamme che accompagnavano le figlie adoranti. Ero li e conoscevo a malapena una sua canzone. Non ero mai andata a nessun concerto prima d’ora e speravo tanto che il mio primo concerto fosse quello di Eminem o anche di Beyonce’… e invece ho regalato la mia prima volta a Justin Bieber. Sto ancora cercando di processare cio’ che ho appena scritto. E per quanto sia immune alla cosidetta Bieber Fever, sono comunque riuscita a godermi lo show. Il Madison Square Garden e’ davvero una location fantastica, e le luci psichedeliche assieme agli effetti speciali hanno bastato a rendere l’esperienza piu’ che piacevole. Che mi abbiano incosapevolmente ipnotizzata rendendomi cosi’ immune al tutto? Puo’ darsi. Ma in fondo il concerto era a New York, nella citta’ che piu’ amo al mondo, e come “prima volta”, ripensandoci, forse non e’ stata poi cosi’ male.
