Camilla & The City

When I found this tutu skirt I could not help but think about SJP during the opening of the SATC series. To think the one she was wearing had been found by Patricia Field in one of the many consignments shops here in Manhattan, buried under a pile on other clothes on sale and priced at 5 dollars or little more. I would never dare to compare myself to the iconic Carrie Bradshaw, but I dare and happily so to take inspiration from some of her looks – that although belonging to many years ago already – they still work as such a great source of inspiration! I took these pictures as soon as I got out the Arrojo hair salon, thanks to the wonderful staff for the amazing job, I finally found the perfect color for my hair!

Quando ho trovato questa gonna a tutù in tulle non ho potuto fare a meno di pensare a Sarah Jessica Parker durante la sigla di SATC.  E pensare che quella che lei indossava mentre si guardava intorno per le vie di Midtown era stata trovata da Patricia Field in uno dei tanti consignment shop della città, seppellita tra montagne di vestiti, ed alla modica cifra di 5 dollari o poco più. Paragonarmi all’iconica Carrie Bradshaw? Non oserei mai tanto! Ma prendere ispirazione da sui look (che anche se di diversi anni fa offrono ancora spunti interessantissimi) quello si! Queste foto le ho scattate subito essere uscita da una seduta di “restauro” da Arrojo…un parrucchiere nel cuore di Midtown dove ho finalmente trovato il colore perfetto per i miei capelli!
