Browsing Around Seattle
Visiting a brand new place is always exciting but it is even better if you have a person who can share with you all the secret places to go to. Mattia, my BF, showed me the school he used to attend when he was here six years ago and for an instant, I almost felt like I was in some typical American movies: Lockerz in the hallways, cheerleaders, baseball and basketball courts, classrooms full of computers and televisions and the smell of donuts and muffins in the air. Sometimes I really regret not having made his same experience, I think it’s enriching in so many ways plus I really miss not having gone to prom not even for once in my life!
Nostalgic thoughts aside we headed to Seattle. Realm of rock music and cafe’. The first Starbucks store was in fact opened right here (and it’s still is) you can see the pictures below. The city is small but with a strong personality, which immediately conquered me… maybe it’s the Space Needle, maybe the view on the ocean but the city surely has a unique charm: tried to believe it! I took so many pictures and this it’s just a taste! Have a great Sunday!
Visitare un posto del tutto nuovo e’ sempre emozionante ma lo e’ ancora di piu’ se hai qualcuno al tuo fianco pronto a svelarti tutti i segreti del posto. Mattia, il mio ragazzo, mi ha mostrato la scuola dove ha frequentato il suo quarto anno di liceo e per un momento mi e’ sembrato di vivere dentro uno dei classici film americani: armadietti nei corridoio, cheerleaders, campi da baseball e da basket, classi superfornite di computer e televisori e il profumo di donuts e muffin nell’aria. A volte rimpiango davvero di non aver fatto la sua stessa esperienza, penso che arricchisca sotto moltissimi aspetti e in piu’ mi manca davvero il fatto di non essere mai andata a un ballo di fine anno 😉 Messi da parte i miei pensieri nostalgici ci siamo diretti verso Seattle. Patria della musica rock, e dei cafe’. Il primo starbuck fu infatti aperto proprio qui, (ed esiste ancora adesso), potete vederlo nelle foto 😀 La citta’ e’ piccola ma con una forte personalita’ che mi ha subito conquistata…sara’ lo Space Needle, o forse la vista sull’oceano, ma di sicuro non e’ un citta’ che passa inosservata: provare per credere! Ho scattato tantissime foto e questo e’ solo un assaggio! Buona Domenica!
