Blue, Yellow, Brown and White Dots

Today I was in the Flatiron area one of the most characteristic neighborhoods in Manhattan.

You probably already know the building as the “Daily Bugle” head office, the newspaper where Peter Parker used to bring his self-shot photo of Spiderman or because of its iron shape. I don’t know if it’s the jewelry shops, the home interior decorations stores full of unnecessary things (which somehow we believe are vital and we end up buying) that make the area so cute. Now that I think about maybe that’s why my studio apartment is packed of totally unnecessary things. For today’s look, I chose this mustard shirt by Silvian Heach and matched it with this dotted skirt from my mother’s old closet. I completed everything with brown accessories, the most uncomfortable heels that I have, a belt, sunnies, and a  bag. Tomorrow morning I’m going to have breakfast at the H&M showroom in the West Village and I literally can’t wait to tell you everything about it! As usual, I will start freaking out in front of my closet and staring at it intensively hoping that it will talk to me sooner or later. Wish me good luck!

  Oggi mi trovavo nella zona del Flatiron building, una tra le zone piu’ caratteristiche di Manhattan. Forse lo conoscete meglio come la sede del “Daily Bugle” il palazzo dalla forma di un ferro da stiro dove Peter Parker portava le foto esclusive di Spiderman. Ma a parte la particolarità della building la zona è carinissima, merito dei vari negozietti di bigiotteria, arredamento per la casa e quei negozi pieni di cose inutili ma che, una volta entrati, è impossibile non comprare nulla, convinti che, prima o poi, ne avremo sicuramente bisogno. Capita anche a voi? A pensarci bene, ecco perchè nel mio monolocale non entra più nulla e si riempie giorno dopo giorno di cose che “potrebbero servire”.  Per il look di oggi ho scelto questa maglia ocra di Silvian Heach e l’ho abbinata a una gonna a pois, che apparteneva a mia mamma. Ho rifinito il tutto con accessori marroni: tacchi (tra i piuà odiosi che ho), borsa, cinta e occhiali. Domani mattina mi attende la colazione presso lo showroom di H&M e non vedo l’ora di raccontarvi tutto nei mimini particolari! Ovviamente ora comincia la crisi outfit… e come ogni mattina passerò i miei buoni 20 minuti imbambolata davanti l’armadio sperando che fissandalo con sguardo languido comunichi in chissa quale modo con me dandomi la giusta ispirazione….
