A|X & Refinery29 SPOTTED! Event
I probably never told you but one thing I love is long dresses, the one I’m wearing today is the right one of them. Courtesy of Flirt Catalog, this black long dress charmed me the second I saw it.
But somehow, while thinking about my peculiar “fashion tastes” I found myself wondering: Why do I love long dresses so much? Here are a few reasons that might explain this newly discovered phobia of mine:
1) When I wear them, I spend a good 30 minutes of my whole day twisting and turning around just to make the bottom part swing and have it look puffier with the air.
2) As soon as I’m struck by a little wind and my dress parts start to twist and twirl all over the place I immediately feel profoundly satisfied and let every one of the unlucky people who decided to go out with me that day know the fascinating phenomenon that is occurring to me, and that it’s bringing me such joy to the heart.
3) They hide all of our summerish wardrobe malfunctions (and with that, I mean waxing too). But no freaking out folks, it wasn’t my case. Not today at least!
4) I just love holding it up high not to step on it while doing the stairs or for some other similar daily life efforts. It’s so metropolitan princess, kinda like Cinderella running away from the ball in a rush, except I don’t have any ball to run away from but I just need to limit my usual bad figures to a number that can be considered acceptable.
Weird lists for weirdos like me aside, here is the look I wore for the Armani Exchange & Refinery29 event I went to yesterday in Soho. I matched this green blazer with lots of accessories, like the two new brooches I bought this past we and the poor earrings that I loved so much but that somehow I couldn’t even wear for once.
The event consisted of accessorizing our look with tons of accessories from Armani Exchange and to be filmed and photographed with our final look. Being a total accessory freak it was pretty fun for me to do.
The picture where I fill out the form is absolutely one of my favs. Don’t really know why, but I really liked it…if only those little fingers of mine didn’t look like a butt for holding the pen too strongly…I mean, c’mon Camilla, what’s wrong with you?!

Non so se ve l’ho mai detto ma adoro gli abiti lunghi o come li chiama brutalmente mia madre le palandrane (a mio malgrado ha sempre avuto il dono innato di storpiare tutte le parole di lingue parlate, morte ed inventate, figuriamoci quelle straniere). Ad ogni modo si, li adoro, sarà perche’:
1) Quando li indosso passo in totale una buona mezz’ora nel corso della giornata a volteggiare e fare giravolte per far allargare la gonna.
2) Appena c’e’ una folata di vento che mi fa muovere la gonna in modo naturale (e non grazie alla mia pazzia) mi sento piacevolmente soddisfatta e lo faccio subito notare a chi mi sta intorno ( e se nella migliore delle ipotesi e’ il mio ragazzo so che non mi scambiera’ per matta perche’ mi conosce alla perfezione).
3) Nascondono tutti i nostri difetti estivi ( e per estivi intendo una ceretta da FARE!). Ma vi tranquillizzo oggi non era il mio caso 🙂
4) Adoro tirarlo su mentre faccio le scale o per non inciarparci (oggi ho anche rischiato si schiantarmi sui gradimi dell’autobus). Fa molto principessa metropolitana, un po’ come Cenerentola che scappa dal ballo con la differenza che io non ho nessun ballo da cui scappare ma cerco solo di limitare le mie classiche figuraccie giornaliere ad un numero accettabile. Liste di stranezze a parte (non so perchè ultimamente sono in vena di “liste”) questo è l’outfit che ho indossato per l’evento organizzato da Refinery 29 per “Armani Exchange”, la linea Armani disponibile solo all’estero. Un abito lungo, gentilmente regalatomi da Flirt Catalog e un blazer verde smeraldo, arricchito da dettagli vintage. L’esperienza e’ stata molto carina, dovevamo scegliere degli accessori Armani Exchange da abbinare al nostro look per poi fare delle foto outfit tra le strade di Soho. La foto dove firmo la liberatoria è una delle mie preferite (non chiedetemi il perchè ma mi piace da matti) se non fosse per il piccolo particolare che ho le dita che richiamano vagamente la forma di un fondoschiena…Ho il vizziaccio di stringere la penna troppo forte quando scrivo e questi sono i risultati…ma che cavolo avrò mai da stringermi io non lo so :S P.s.
