A BCBG Red Dress

The ones of you of follow me on my Instagram profile (@camillasentuti) probably remember that last week I had the pleasure of going out for dinner at “Gemma”, a very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of Noho along with the whole BCBGMaxAzria Staff. The designer and the rest of the crew were in fact in town to inaugurate the launch of the new collection and so, I decided to use the pretext to wear this newly-arrived little red dress by BCBG. I combed my hair in a low soft chignon, put a nude lipstick on, a few accessories and head towards downtown.

Before starting, Lubov Azria had each and everyone of us introduce ourselves and asked what inspired us and what drove us in our everyday life. The people who know me also know that being very shy I have a problem or two when public speaking is necessary. I am pretty positive my face turned the exact same color of the dress I was wearing that night when it was finally my turn to speak up.

Once I took a look at the dinner menu, I immediately felt home though: penne with tomato sauce, branzino with roasted potatoes and chocolate suffle as dessert. At the end of the night, when there was just a few of us left, Lubov started to tell us a bit more about herself, that was when I discovered a passionate woman with a strong and bold personality but very sweet and simple at the same time. On the cab back home, while the traffic of the city was running back and forth below my eyes, I found myself smilingon the inside and thanking again this wonderful city for another amazing experience.

Chi mi segue sul mio profilo Instagram (@camillasentuti) si ricordera’ che la scorsa settimana ho avuto il piacere di partecipare a un cena da “Gemma”, un ristorante Italiano carinissimo nel pieno centro di Noho, assieme allo staff di BCBGMaxAzria. La stilista ed il resto della crew erano in citta’ per la presentazione della nuova collezione e cosi ho usato il pretesto per indossare questo meraviglioso abito rosso, ovviamente firmato BCBG, con ricami fiorati intorno al collo e dal modello particolare. Ho raccolto i capelli in uno chignon e optato per accessori chiari, un rossetto carne e via, pronta per una nuova serata. Subito prima di iniziare con le varie portate, Lubov Azria ha coinvolto l’intera tavolata: uno alla volta ci siamo alzati, presentati e detto cosa ci ispira in quello che facciamo e cosa ci motiva a raggiungere i nostri obiettivi. Chi mi conosce, sa che ho un serio problema a parlare di fronte ad altre persone e che sono estramemante timida nella mia lingua madre, figurarsi in Inglese! Sono piu’ che sicura che in quell’instante il mio viso sia diventato esattamente del colore del vestito che indossavo. Guardando il menu della cena pero’, mi sono sentita un po’a casa: pennette al pomodoro, spigola con patate e tortino al ciocciolato come dessert. A fine serata, quando ormai eravamo rimasti davvero in pochi, Lubov ha iniziato a raccontarci qualche aneddoto della sua vita privata. Ho scoperto cosi’una donna passionale e dal carattere deciso ma allo stesso tempo molto dolce ed estramamente semplice. Tornando a casa, mentre guardavo il traffico scorrere sotto i miei occhi, ho sorriso fra me e me pensando a questa citta’che ancora una volta e’riuscita a regalarmi un’esperienza unica.
