5 Magical Places In New York
After living in New York for more than two years now I have collected a good dose of knowledge about this magical city I thought I would start sharing with you a little bit more from now on. Today I have put together a shortlist of all of my favorite magical places here in the city. Shall we commence?
Vivendo qui a New York da piu di due anni ormai, ho deciso di creare periodicamente dei post dedicati alla città che non dorme mai. Shopping, ristoranti, club, posti romantici e tanto altro ancora per scoprire passo dopo passo questa città fantastica. Oggi voglio condividere con voi i miei posti magici qui a New York. Ecco quindi la lista di quelli che definisco i miei must-see :)
Not everybody is aware of this particular area of New York. DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is in fact one of the prettiest (and most expensive) neighborhoods here in the city. What I love about this area though, is the marvelous little park facing directly downtown Manhattan, from which there is a spectacular view of the city skyline both during the day and night.
Non molti conoscono questa zona di New York, il parco DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) a Brooklyn da cui si ha una vista della città da togliere letteralmente il fiato. Ogni volta che sono li rimango imbabolata per ore davanti al panorama che sembra essere finto, come se se stessi guardando una cartolina gigante.
Maybe not everybody knows that in the upper part of Central Park is hidden one of the most beautiful garden of the city. Its name is Conservative Garden, a romantic and magical oasis where Matt and I go often for a walk far away from the chaos of Manhattan. The place is also a favorite destination for many new yorkers who often use it to say their “I do’s”. The colorful flowers and knit little pathways make it the perfect spot to take beautiful pictures.
Forse non tutti voi sanno che nella parte “alta” di Central Park, all’altezza dalle 105esima e della 5nta si trova il Conservative Garden, un giardino assolutamente romantico e magico nel quale io e Matt andiamo spesso anche solo per fare una semplice passeggiata. Questo piccolo spazio curato e mantenuto in modo impeccabile dal comune, é anche uno dei luoghi piu gettonati dove sposarsi. I fiori ed i vicoletti che lo caratterizzano lo rendono il posto perfetto per scattare delle foto bellissime.
Central Park is surely a must-see while in New York. It’s romantic and charming, and that’s for sure, but the Belvedere Castle right inside the park, is surely one of my favorite places. The moment you get in it seems you immediately feel like you’re part of a Disney’s fairy tale.
Central Park si sa, é una delle tappe obbligatorie per chi visita New York: romantica, affascinante e tutta da scoprire. Il mio angolo preferito? Il castello Belvedere, dove per un attimo si ha come la sensazione di essere entrati in una delle favole di Walt Disney.
Another of the parks you can’t really miss is Mr. Bryant Park. During summer in fact this place becomes an outdoor movie theatre while in every other time of the year is the perfect location to take a break while enjoying the green surroundings around you.
Un altro dei parchi di New York che non potete lasciarvi scappare é Bryant Park, durante l’estate si trasforma in un cinema all’aperto dove proiettano vecchi film, di giorno é una distesa verde dove potersi perdere nell’immensità dei grattacieli e di notte si illumina di luci che creano un atmosfera unica.
Last but not least on my top 5 is the MET’s rooftop garden. From this place that’s right in the heart of the Upper East Side you’ll be able to enjoy a wonderful view of the Midtown skyline. And if you get tired of the view you can always go inside and visit one of the most beautiful museum of the world.
